Nearly 1 million Danes live in council residential areas. 18.9 percent are under the age of 18. The health problems in those residential areas are huge and overlooked. Compared with other citizens twice as many have poor health, and more children and young people are overweight. Researchers from the Department of Health Science and Technology aims on changing this by developing inclusive sports teaching in the areas, based on theories on complex interventions and social systems.
